SUMMARY: Bram Sinclair Lessons
DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:
Bram and I worked on Mountain Dew today again. He was
struggling with using more fingers, and wanted to
forego that for now, so we just worked on the first
line, trying to add both hands together.

SUMMARY: Bram Sinclair Lessons
DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:
Bram enjoyed his Irish Rovers concert last week, and
told me all about it. \n After that we continued with
Mountain Dew and he played the whole thing with both
hands, despite saying he couldn't and hadn't practised
it! I was proud of him for that!\n After going
through it a few times he was tired of repeating it, so
we looked at some past songs and he played them for me.
We also looked at The Jolly Roving Tar again which for
some reason he's a bit intimidated by.

SUMMARY: Bram Sinclair Lessons
DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:
Bram played through Yellow Submarine three times, and
didn't want to do it again. It could definitely use
more focused practicing at home to work out the
smoothness of it. He knows the parts, but doesn't have
it all smooth.\n After that he played through of his
older songs, but didn't want to return to yellow
  submarine

SUMMARY: Bram Sinclair Lessons
DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:
Bram played Yellow Submarine for me a few times, and
then decided he wanted to learn a new Irish Rovers
song. We searched on Google and found The Wellerman.\n
I located a version of it on Google Images, and that
helped me transcribe it more quickly. It's just the
right hand at the moment, so if he decides he wants to
play with both hands, I'll add more next time.

SUMMARY: Bram Sinclair Lessons
DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:
Bram had printed out The Wellerman, and played through
the right hand for me two times... he had been
overlooking the eighth notes (tee tee / tah is what we
call them in the lesson). He didn't seem agreeable to
try them, and then at one point admitted he didn't
understand, so we went over the past songs he's learned
which all have eighth notes, and I highlighted them
again to help make it clear. After that he played them
mostly correctly.\n Then we talked about adding the
left hand- I've introduced chords, which he was
resistant to. Every-once-in-a-while he'd take another
stab at it, but I think was just a bit overwhelmed. So
I said to just play a single note in the left hand,
  whatever the chord name is (C, F, G, A flat, E flat,
  etc).\n

SUMMARY: Bram Sinclair Lessons
DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:
Last Lesson: Last Lesson: Last Lesson: Last Lesson: Last Lesson: Last Lesson: Last Lesson: Last Lesson: Bram had printed out The Wellerman, and played through
the right hand for me two times... he had been
overlooking the eighth notes (tee tee / tah is what we
call them in the lesson).
So
I said to just play a single note in the left hand,
  whatever the chord name is (C, F, G, A flat, E flat,
  etc).\n
